IFAD and the Tanzanian government are implementing a national project to expand inland aquaculture across 11 regions, including Njombe, Rukwa, Morogoro, and Mwanza.
This program provides infrastructure, capacity building, and startup capital for fishponds, hatcheries, and value chain expansion. Private sector partnerships are encouraged in fish seed supply, cold chain logistics, fish feed production, and processing.
Investors are welcome to join ongoing efforts, accessing policy support and shared infrastructure to serve growing local and export markets.
